  • How to recover onenote files after computer restore?

done a full system backup (disk image) of my car, and then re-install everything. I went from Windows 7 Home-Prize to Professional. I can not understand what files I need to restore from a backup to get my OneNote tape back to the way it was before. I had a hard time to adjust, since I basically live from OneNote (Tablet PC).

    Apply common solutions for OneNote:

    1. Start-->Run, and typenenote.exe /forcerepair "filepath" where filepath (in quotes!) is the full path to the file that is corrupted. You can get this path by hovering the mouse over the section tab in OneNote. It's probably something like, "C:\Documents and Settings\your-name\My Documents\OneNote Notebooks\notebook-name\section-name.one"

    2. In OneNote, go to File-->Info-->Open Backups, and open the latest backup. If the file looks fine, you can drag it into your notebook and delete the corrupt file.
